2023 was a year full of controversy after controversy.

Many may argue that 2023 has been an exciting year, pointing to events like Ghana’s IMF bailout, the Occupy Juliorbi House demonstration against the government, Cecilia Dapaah’s One Million Dollars controversy, and former Trade Minister Alan Kyerematen’s split from the NPP.

The Black Stars forward, who played professionally for Chelsea and Newcastle United, was found dead after being missing while an earthquake in Türkiye destroyed his home.

The 31-year-old was living in an apartment in Hatay City when the February 6, 2023, earthquake destroyed it.

Atsu had two sons and a daughter from his marriage to author Marie-Claire Rupio.

The Council of State member and former Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram died at age 77.

Following a long battle with illness, he allegedly passed away in South Africa on October 1.

Born on May 17, 1946, Enoch Teye Mensah served as the Rawlings administration’s Minister of Youth and Sports and as a member of parliament for 20 years, from January 1997 to January 2017.

He had seven children from his marriage.

On Tuesday, February 21, 2023, the popular, charismatic preacher was reported to have passed away at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.

The televangelist had been fighting a stroke since October 23, 2021, which eventually led to his death, according to a release announcing his passing.
